I can’t believe March is over already! We’ve been looking forward to this day for the last couple as months; S is finally coming home from South Africa tomorrow! If you ask little T what’s happening at the weekend, he will answer excitedly, ‘birthday, Daddy!’ as it’s his birthday on Saturday and he knows that Daddy will be home by then!
It’s not been a bad month, despite missing S like mad. I had my 20 week scan and managed to resist the temptation to find out the gender. I’ve also been busy setting up an online business, Little Owl Gift Baskets, selling book gift baskets for babies which has kept me occupied (and taken me away from blogging a lot of the time). We’ve spent a lot of time staying with my parents, including Easter weekend. This is the first year that little T has been old enough to join in with Easter celebrations. We spent Easter Sunday at my parents’ house with three of my brothers, my sister-in-law and baby nephew. My Grandma and Auntie also came to visit.
On the Saturday we had painted polystyrene eggs and little T put Easter stickers on them, ready for our Easter egg hunt. On the Sunday I told him that the Easter bunny had hidden some eggs in the garden. He looked thrilled at this idea! We put on his wellies, picked up his basket and went looking for eggs. He was so excited when he found them, he had the biggest smile on his face and could have probably carried on playing for hours if it hadn’t started to rain.
The next day we went for a walk with my Mum. T had the most amazing time jumping in puddles, it was amazing to see how something so simple could keep him entertained for so long. He got absolutely soaking wet despite his wellies but still walked all the way home.
Our second month of Me and Mine being just me and my boy had to be taken during our Easter egg hunt- it really was one of the highlights of this month.
I can’t wait to see what April’s picture will look like when our little family is back together again. Hope you’ve had a good month.
