Bump diary: Weeks 22/23

I missed another bump update last week, oops! I mentioned in my last update that I’d been busy with another project. Well, I can now reveal what it is. I’ve set up an online business at littleowlgiftbaskets.co.uk selling personalised book gift baskets for babies. It’s taken a lot of work to set up the website and also to try and promote it, so it’s really taken me away from blogging recently. But there’s lots I want to write about so I need to set more time aside to get back into blogging (and I’ve not got any orders to make yet, sob!).

Welcome to Little Owl Gift Baskets |

A new baby is one of the most magical (and exhausting!) times in any parent’s life. In order to mark this wonderful occasion, people often want to buy a special and unique gift that reflects the joy that new life brings. “Sometimes, the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”

The pregnancy is going well. I’m feeing really well at the moment, getting plenty of kicks from baby and my energy levels aren’t too bad. The pelvic pain seems to be settling down a little bit too. So, all in all, I think I’m at that brief ‘easy’ stage of pregnancy. I know it won’t last!

My bump seems to be rapidly expanding at the moment and I think I look obviously pregnant now. This has been confirmed by an increasing number of people asking me when the baby’s due. Although a girl at work was completely shocked to find out that I was pregnant the other day (to be fair it is still pretty hidden under my ma-hoo-sive maternity uniform).

19 weeks vs 23 weeksLast week I had an appointment at the hospital’s antenatal clinic to discuss my birth options. It was the quickest appointment ever. ‘So, you want a VBAC?’ ‘Yes’ ‘Great, we’ll see you again at 40 weeks’. I felt that was well worth the 1.5 hours round trip to get there.

I got my appointment through for my scan at 28 weeks to check that my placenta has moved and I’m looking forward to seeing baby again.

I’ll try to stick to the weekly updates from now on (unless I get flooded with orders for gift baskets!). Do you have any tips for promoting my other website so that I at least get one order?!

Its hard sticking to weekly updates when you have so much else on, I know what you mean as my next one will be a combined one too!! You look lovely the photos are great I have been pretty rubbish with getting pictures this time round, hoping to make up for it in the last few weeks. Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy and the 28 week scan x
